Which Way Do I Go?

Decisions, Decisions! How do you come to determine what you will do and when, or whether to scrap your plans for something else? Do you make decisions as if you are the only one that matters, and without regard as to how it will affect others around you? Are you a lone ranger in coming to conclusions, and consult with no one, no way no how? What we decide should be weighed carefully, and in a manner that results in the best for God’s glory, the good of others, and ultimately in lasting benefits for us.

So before pursuing anything we must STOP - DROP - AND PRAY! God is the only one that knows us fully and has everything that is before us in view with total clarity. He misses nothing, therefore, it would stand to reason that we would seek His wisdom and direction. Never assume you know God’s will (James 4:15; 1:5)

In taking into account other people around us and trying to gain perspective, we should always seek godly counsel so we guard against missteps and pitfalls. Running potential decisions before confidants will bring valuable insights that will produce safety for all involved. The experiences of those of whom we surround ourselves can make for less heartaches through life (Proverbs 11:14; 15:22; 24:6).

In the final analysis, we will one day give an account of the choices that we have made to the Lord. Romans 14:7 & 12 relays these truths . . .  “For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself” and “So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.”

Thus, let us approve things that are excellent and live with Holy Spirit discernment by taking full advantage of the Lord’s help and those of whom He has blessed us with in the relationships of life (parents, pastors, friends, etc.). Don’t neglect to use all of these to get a full-orbed viewpoint so that God’s best is ascertained!
